The word achievement means 'to bring to a successful conclusion' and that’s exactly what this campaign is designed to do. OCP only needs 100 new members to join with the other 1,900 active employees that have taken a leap of faith in something that was almost too hard to believe could be done but is quickly becoming real.
The initial goal for the past several months has been to achieve payroll deduction. OCP (DOC and PPB staff) will soon bring this first goal to a successful conclusion.
Another goal of OCP has been to have members and nonmembers alike take ownership in their own association. This campaign can foster this as well. There have been many employees recruiting new members, sending dues, bringing ideas up and creating those things that you see now and may take for granted. But none of this would have been possible without those dozens of people that actively stood up for positive change and those 100’s that decided to be part of something bigger than themselves.
The Achievement in August campaign has something for everybody:
There will be a drawing for those who send in at least $15 or just one new application. Just print out an “Existing Member” sheet and fill it out and include the check or applications. If you’ve signed up a new member(s) include a New Member Sheet also with their prize selection so it can be entered in that drawing.
Example #1:
You are sending in $15. Check the appropriate box and write in $15 in the appropriate blank. Select what prize you’d like if your name is drawn and complete the information portion at the bottom. Your name will be entered in the existing member drawing. Send in $30, $45, $60, etc. and your name will be entered 2, 3, 4, etc. times.
Example #2:
You are sending 1 new member application. Check the appropriate box and write in 1 in that blank. Your name will be entered 1 time in the existing member drawing. Send in 10 applications and your name will be entered 10 times.
For new members (those who join in the month of August 2009):
There will be another drawing just for new members. Just complete a New Member Sheet with the prize you’d like checked. You can also donate in increments of $15 if you’d like to be entered in drawing more than once.
Example:
You are a new member and with your New Member Sheet you include a $30 donation.
Your name will be entered in the new member drawing 3 times.
For all members:
The Oklahoma Correctional Employee Memorial Foundation (OCEMF) has included something even more fun in this campaign. The OCEMF will give the highest recruiter in the month of August, new or existing member, $500 if we reach 2,000 members and $250 if we don’t! There is no example needed for this – just be a member of OCP/OCEMF and be the highest recruiter for the month of August and get paid.
Here are the rules for the contest/drawing:
- New members are those who join in the month of August 2009.
- Existing members are those who were members prior to August 1, 2009.
- By becoming a part of this contest/drawing you agree to remain a member of OCP/OCEMF through the end of 2009.
- All applications and sheets must be received in the OCP mailbox no later than August 31, 2009.
- Those employees serving on the OCP and OCEMF boards, and their immediate families, are not eligible for either contest.
- In the event of a tie in the OCEMF contest the applicable prize will be equally divided by the number of winners.
- All applications received that are NOT new members will be voided and not included in either contest.
The drawing and announcement of the highest recruiter will take place
on September 4, 2009 at 4:00 PM in the JHCC training room.
The OCP website will have winners from all three contests posted
no later than September 6, 2009 at 10:00 PM.
